The art and resourcefulness of farm distilling has been a dying craft. Cash Butte was created to return to these roots and bring distilling back to the farm.
The New Royal Bluff Orchards (TNRBO) has 40 years of experience growing the best quality organic apples in Washington. In 2013 TNRBO committed to be fully organic by 2028.
Cash Butte is located directly on Royal Bluff Orchard property. The fruit doesn't travel far to be crushed and processed. The unmarketable fruit is hand sorted in the orchard. Instead of heading to the packing house where it end up on your store shelf, it comes to the distillery to be crushed into juice ready for the next step of fermentation.
Apples have a lot of natural sugar so we never add sugar to our juice. Although the natural yeasts on the farm aid in fermenting, we do add yeast to help aid in the process of fermentation. The hearts of our distillation is aged for a minimum of two years in either french or american oak. This offers a deep distinct oak flavor that you might find in a smooth whiskey with the apple fruit finish of a brandy.
Before you say “Brandy is my grandmother’s favorite.” This unique flavor profile will delight even the most skeptical consumer. Use this brandy in any whiskey cocktail and you will reach for Cash Butte Brandy everytime.

Cash Butte Brandy is made in the calvados style using premium varieties. These varieties are blended to maximize the flavor profile experience. We model our method from the northern French region because like Washington, they are excellent apple growers as well. The Calvados region has been making apple brandy for 100’s of years and are experts in their craft. Our distiller has studied with several calvados distilleries in France to learn this art.
